ASOT vs ISOS

I always like the polls where they compare between Tiesto and any other DJ because I always like to see the posts where they bash him a little bit..:p not that i don't like him but I think that in some part he's overrated..
Now let's get down to business.. Today I chose to post a poll to see which one of the following sets you liked more:

- A State of Trance 2008 Yearmix
- In Search of Sunrise 7 Asia

Now from an objective point of view (And I mean it because I appreciate good trance whoever the artist is) I think that ASOT is better because it has more quality within its remixing, and It gave me a more smooth impression while when listening to ISOS (which is not bad at all btw) I felt that in the end i was just listening to plain records(good ones btw) bein cross-faded.. That's why I choose ASOT 2008 yearmix

Hey,this is a tough one,i really enjoyed a state of trance because armin seems to play the bigger trance tunes but i also enjoyed in search of sunrise because tiesto is playing the more unknown artists that are coming up in the world but in the case of mixing between songs i cant really see a difference in them but for personally me i enjoyed in search of sunrise more than a state of trance

i prefered ASOT 2008, but found new unknown tracks on ISOS
the 2 albums are enjoyable

I always enjoy both series annually, but like what I've said, Tiesto's ISOS7 didnt work so well for me, that's why I'll have to say Armin got this.

ISOS sucked this year...IMO. It was just too chill and i felt like I was in a field with a bunch of butterflies or something, ASOT 08 wasn't as good as ASOT 2007 but I definitely thought it was better than ISOS

ASOT2008 was far better imo, it had such banging tunes that kept me listening to it over and over again.

a state of trance easily, the in search of sunrise cds are far too chilled for my liking, incredibly dull.

Armin seems to be one of the only classic trance djs that has kept to it, rather than going down the minimal/electro route just to cash in like pvd tiesto etc...

I prefer the ISOS because I think these albums are like more euphoric or more emotional, everything about the songs that are in the albums are beautyfull, It's just that,
and always in the first cd all the tracks that are in the cd are like more emotional, and the second cd have much more trance and it's a little bit more euphoric

Def think ISOS 1 is probably one of my favs. Just fantastic. As I got into Tiesto long before Armin, I have to side with ISOS. 1,2, are way trancy. 3,4,5 you get more of a chill feel...but damn ISOS 4 is sick. 6 is a fantastic ibiza feel, no other dj captures this as well as Tiesto has. #7 isnt as good obviously. The 2nd disc has some life near the end..but that's about it for my tastes. ASOT i just haven't listened to so obviously i've got a bias here.

The yearmix of ASOT is extremely technical compared to the Tiesto set. Mainly because he has to mix like 100 songs in like 1 hour LOL - so I think a FAIR comparison would really be between ISOS and the ASOT 2008 ALBUM. Plus, the songs on the Yearmix are picked by fans and the ASOT album is picked by Armin so he can't really be blamed for shitty songs on the Yearmix.

Yea ASOT has good songs. But i prefer more ISOS. Becouse I could listen and listen it again and again

At this stage i would have to say asot, the only reason for my decision is that i have seen him live a few times and personally i was so wasted that i dont know weather his music was good or not.. but still had a great time :) that aside i have a few of his cd's and there all good...

Wow man this is a hard one, i would go for ISOS even if i dislike Tiesto's lack of trance production lately. But you picked a difficult one here ;)
