Head Phones???
Hey guys! I hope I'm posting this in the right Forum... sorry if I'm not!
My Boyfriends birthday is coming up pretty quick here, and I really want to get him a sick pair of headphones for his 25th. He is new to DJing, but he is crazy about it. So I want to make sure he has the proper set up. What do you guys think the best would be? Price is not an option! Also, good DJ programs for mac? Other equipment? He eventually wants to play his sets at clubs and stuff. I have almost no knowledge of this kind of thing, so any help to make his birthday memorable would be appreciated! Thanks in advance! |

Whats your budget for the headphones? Ive a set of these and they do the job well. There a few years old so theres probably something better out now which someone else will suggest. |

I would say you can't go wrong with any of these...
Pioneer HDJ 1000 ![]() Denon DNHC1000 ![]() Shure SRH750DJ (i currently have these, but went for them because they're a bit cheaper and i desperately needed some at the time! They are good though) ![]() .... and i was going to include the Technics ones, but Chris beat me to it there! I have used the Technics, Pioneer, and Shure ones, they are all very good. I like the style of the Pioneer best though, they look cool. ;)

Oh and as for DJ software, either Traktor or Serato. I use Traktor myself and love it. Depends what sort of DJing he's doing. If its more electronic dance music i'd say Traktor (but then there's different versions, so depends on how he would want to use it).

Thanks for the input guys! I'm thinking Technics or Pioneer! Just from what I've heard from other people too. Any ideas on Mac programs???

I can recommend Traktor Pro 2...
http://www.native-instruments.com/#/...scratch-pro-2/ The scratch version comes with an interface so you can use it with turntables/cd decks, and mixer. the standard pro version is just for djing on the laptop alone... http://www.native-instruments.com/#/...traktor-pro-2/ |
