DJ Armin/Tiesto headphones?

Anyone know what type of headphones Armin Van Buuren and/or Tiesto use? It'll probably cost me a bunch, but the quality is probably perfect!

Not sure but probably either pioneer sony or sennheiser headphones. To be honest it doesnt really make the dj what headphones they use. A good dj can mix with cheap shitty ones the same!
What counts is how comfortable they are for long use, the frequency range, and how loud they are, so you can hear everything fine in a club.
You cant go wrong with the makes i mentioned (the higher quality ones anyway)

Electronomist is right, the headphones tiesto uses are the stanton dj pro 2000, around 45pounds. They are distinctly average sounding headphones but have a high frequency range and a mono/stereo switch.
I just bought some new ones the other week and I seriously considered them but went for the cheaper and "harmonically perfect" ??? Kam 1500 pros, if you are looking for new ones they are mint, cheap 35 pounds and used by loads of djs

Shit those are expensive for me because I'm in the U.S. and the British Pound is about twice the American Dollar hahaha. Those are some sweet headphones!!!! I want em![thumbsup]

have a look on the american ebay maybe.

one thing i will say though is there designed to be loud. there just a bit overkill for chilling out with a few tunes. there not really an audiophiles set of headphones, there more built for purpose

there are far better headphones if 95% of the time your not hooked up to a powerful amp.

Hmm.. ya not all the time I will be connected to a big amp. Which other high quality headphones would you recommend?

Budget would be $200. Gonna use the nice set for mixing and producing. For listening and portable use I use the Sennheiser HD 202. They're great! The price is also under $30. I got em off of newegg.com XD Quality deal XD

1 of them tweeted that they couldn't buy Pioneer headphones where they were and would have to settle for Technics, might have been AVB @ Whistler during Olympics.

That was a few weeks ago, i'll see if i can find it

Hey, I've been looking everywhere online to see if I can find these headphones, or who makes them. They are starting to be worn by tiesto all the time now. Below is a link to a picture and a link to a youtube video with tiesto wearing them. I tried asking a few DJ supply stores and the best answer they could come up with is "they look alien" or "European". Thanks for the help, and it looks like he wears these more often than the stanton's.

id say pause it around the 2.50 mark and you can see a logo. it looks like stanton to me

Chris opened my eyes to these babies some time ago, bought them that day and never looked back :) They go with me everywhere. Great earphones, and the price is fairly cheap once you look at how much wear you will get out of them. I would definately recommend them, comfortable and great sound.
