Pirate Bay Legal Shenanigans

First of all, I'm such a noob to torrents. I barely had any luck with them in the past because I just gave up most of the time. I knew nothing about seeding, torrent trackers or anything else. But now, I discovered Transmission for mac and it seems to be working great as long as there are enough seeders.

Anyway, Piratebay is back up... since August 28 (for those who don't know, probably all of you do since you're guys). They're in Sweden now, where the copyright laws are very lax. Anyway, I thought I might humor you all with some legal threats I found on Piratebay's website:

The threat and response from EA games is the funniest in my opinion.

Used to use torrents all the time till I got a Rapidshare account don't have much use for them now.

I think that they were at a different location at some point in time, not sure exactly.

yeah its blocked on eircom. theyve been hammered with DDOS attacks since :) constant DNS issues with Eircom now. its costing them millions

Transmission is awesome, takes up almost no resources.

if you guys d/l tv shows, this site is amazing for torrent, and they're updated probably 1 hr after the show is aired.

just make sure you keep your ratio to at least 1:1, that means you send as much as you receive, it will help the community run faster, and it's not that hard cause there're tons of people downloading and uploading.
