Welcome
As you may all realize this is the section equal to the Welcome section in the main section of the forum.
Those who are new to the music making area and also to the forum may post here and greet the entire community. Nontheless this is not a useless section because knowing which one of you is new to the job helps us in finding the right answers to your questions. |

I have basically never produced music of any sort, so here I am.
What is the BEST program for a beginner to start producing electronic music? I am genuinely interested and ready to put my mind and time into making something listenable. All ears for those who are more experienced than me |

Alright sneakyfox i think you should begin with flstudio as it is the most full on program for producers and is the easiest out there to use

I've been having a pretty good time teaching myself Acid Pro 6. Does mostly everything i want right now as a Entry level into production. I even have a couple of my first tracks i will upload soon for critique.

hi guys, sorry to dig an old thread but didn't want to make a new one since my question belongs here
so here it is which is the best software to begin mixing songs on your PC, smthing like the most advanced but still not too difficult to use. i worked for a while with cool edit pro v2.0 but looked a little old and virtual dj pro but just couldn't get the hang of it (:)) . do you have any suggestions or experience on this you want to share? Guess i'll go with the fl since i saw a tutorial and see what happens Last edited by Aiolos; 23rd August 2009 at 16:36. |

Hey Aiolos, Its worth checking out ableton live as its a great program for producing tracks and for mixing. You can assign controls off a usb mixer(i actually use my midi keyboards dials!) to control eq, track triggers and gain, and its got the flexability to add any effects you want. I dont know how it compares to fruity loops in ease of use, but i picked it up pretty quickly.

thanks transient motion :)
it seems the majority prefers either ableton or FL. so the options got narrowed down to two. i'll check for previews and screenshots of both of them in the net and will see. if i find anything worth posting i'll post it.
