Too fast for house, but definitely nailed the mid 90s dance sound there!

Yeah I was thinking that....It did start with a BPM of 155!!! but thats cause i initially was going to make a Techno track. This edit is 145 and still too fast.. I slowed it down to around the 130s but it lost a lot of energy and movement I felt. If I can get it to about 136-140 I can get away with calling it breakbeat house.
Its good to hear that I got the sound of the 90s right :D You know what I find interesting is that many people will tell you that the instruments used in the 90s is what gave them that style or sound...yes its true to an extent but I can replicate it on modern software that does not emulate famous machines...apart from my 303. I think a lot more of it has to do with patterns used and arrangement. |
