A work in progress
Although its not finished just yet, I still have a lot add to it and arrange it, Maybe change the pads they are a bit depressing for the song. But, This is what I can do with thanks to the messages from Cosmic Baby and the confidence from my teachers in college. I feel I'm more confident with my music now and this track really reflects it. Sounds better on headphones for some reason.

Sounds good, like the percussion.
Think the kick could do with a little more punch though, sounds a bit soft and quiet. I see what you mean about the pads... but i actually quite like the sound of them |

Really the kick sounds quiet and soft? That's weird cause when I play it on my system on YouTube the bassdrum sound way too loud and masks the 303s, yet when I listen it on my headphones it's ok. I like the sounds of the pads to but they don't fit this track because the sound like either intro pads or for a more slower ambient track. I will keep them just try to arrange them better.

I was presented with a plate of delectable sounds... so I ate the sounds, which were very pleasant and brought me joy. I was very pleased with the chef, so I sent him my regards.
I think that the kick could be too pronounced at the start, but part way through it seems to be OK. Maybe you could have a hard kicking track. It starts with great oomph, but it seems to settle itself down. Still, play around with the kick to get the results you want. The percussion is wicked, and I also like the pad. Lastly... hats hats hats hats, which I tip my hat to you for. P.S. tss tss tt tss tss tss tt tss |

Nice track! IMO the kick sounded OK through my headphones and the pads were lovely!

Yes I listened to it quite loud through my monitor speakers and it sounded soft. Nothing a bit of careful eq work wouldn't sort out, just to make it come through the mix more when all the other instruments are playing. Most headphones colour the sound a lot to make everything sound more clear and punchy. |

Thanks for the info man. I'll get a pair of monitors soon, Any recommendations btw? What about the rest of the percussion sound levels in relation to one another? any too loud or not loud enough? I have been using monitors in college and the difference between them and my speakers is quite something. It really does give you good reason why music is not mixed using traditional speakers! lol
