I was mainly into Rock back then and I went to a Dance Club with my date. The first 2 songs I heard were "As The Rush Comes" by Motorcycle and Robbie Rivera's "Girlfriend". I instantly hooked. The e wasn't bad either but it was one of those life changing experiences!

the one tht got me into trance was Ben Lost ft. Young Parisians - Jump The Next Train
although I would say that wasn't what lead me to trance. what led me was more like dancey stuff like Heaven - DJ Sammy or Scooter

surprisingly enough the first 2 albums that got me into electronic music was Gary Numans Living Ornaments live album ('79) and Jean Michel Jarre's Oxygene ('77)

True its not trance but it was ahead of its time and as far as Gary Numan goes, he was one of the founding fathers that started the 'new wave' era of the 1980's
