Always wondered how tunes are released within minutes of them going up for sale day after day

Yeah, its a big kick in the teeth as it must be most artists main hope for sales alongside beatport i reckon!

I've always used trackitdown for any tunes i want, never actually used beatport so gutted its still down!

In all fairness that sounds like a cover up

Sites as big as that will always design a site on the side then just swap over in a few hours at most

Way too much money at stake

The fact they havent emailed all customers/artists saying they will be down for a few days just makes it look more suspicious

Apparently they lost everything from every label, from 2010, I was asked to upload everything id released from 2010 back onto the site.

Yeah there's loads of info missing for some tracks, labels & releases, and the player don't work for loads. Shame as i need to buy some tracks before Monday and can't find some on any other sites

Just saw this on another forum, explains a little from the TID main man for anyone interested (still think they should have been more open about it and given an explanation straight away)...

I just got this response from Ed Real:

Hey todd

As you may have seen, we experienced an issue with one of our servers which caused some recent files to be corrupted and the site had to be taken offline for a day or so. A complete pain for us and for our customers also.

We are working on two fronts right now, getting re-delivery of content affected and liaising with customers who have unfortunately experienced disruption

We are a small company lucky to have lots of customers who we value greatly however this means we have a tonne of support enquiries that we are working through one by one.

Each enquiry is unique and valued to us and so I can say that everyone will be dealt with as soon as possible
